Apparently this month the hitherto unheard-of hipster band ATOMIC TOM had their instruments stolen. So, when called upon to play a gig on the NYC subway by a car-hopping hobo, they were forced to improvise using nothing more than their iPhones. I guess that the instrument thief luckily determined these were useless (haha, like a hipster would ever have their iPhone further away from their bodies than the inner pocket of their skinny-jeans, a thief would have no chance). The Urban Dictionary defines Grandpa Hipster as “an over 40 hipster, often seen at clubs or indie shows”.
